Wide range of filter options: we offer filters that cater to specific applications or industries, such as UV, IR, or visible light filters in many different application fields.

Optical Longpass Filters block incoming shorter wavelength light by either absorption or reflection, while allowing longer wavelength light to transmit through the optic. Longpass Filters are also commonly referred to as High Pass, Sharp-Cut Edge Filters.
Longpass filters are characterized by their “cut-on” wavelength, which is the wavelength at the 50% point along the transmission slope.
Longpass Filters are often used to separate light sources such as fluorescence emission from a lower wavelength excitation source to prevent crosstalk. They can be used along with Shortpass Filters to create custom Bandpass Filters.

LP850 Near-IR Longpass Filter

The LP850 Near-IR Longpass Filter material is excellent for eliminating overwhelming visible and NIR ambient light, particularly in cases where the spectral response of the camera beyond 900nm is approaching zero. Otherwise we encourage customers to consider using an LP920 filter instead. LP1070 Short-Wave Infrared Longpass Filter

The LP1070 is a 0.7mm thick silicon Longpass filter with antireflection coatings on both sides optimized for 1100-2300nm transmission. Because silicon is inherently opaque, blocking in the visible and very near-IR spectrums is excellent, and the positioning of the cut-on slope is completely insensitive to the angle of incidence of light impinging on the surfaces. LP1070 also reduces Nd:YAG (1064nm) light transmission by approximately 50%. This filter is mainly intended for use with SWIR camera systems and blocks essentially all light that CCD/CMOS cameras might normally be sensitive to. Useful Range : 1100-2300nm Cut-on Wavelength 50% T : 1070nm Tolerance : +/-10nm Peak Transmission : ≥90% Surface Quality : 40/20

LP515 Yellow-Orange Longpass Filter

  • threaded mount, c-mount and slip mount option
  • unmounted option and different sizes available

The LP515 Yellow-Orange Longpass Filter is used with black-and-white cameras to aid in increasing contrast and resolution, LP515 filters block blue and UV wavelengths and pass all other visible and near infrared light. To block longer wavelengths – including infrared light – see the BP535 bandpass filter. Longer wavelengths can have adverse affects when trying to separate subject matter. Useful Range : 520-1100nm Cut-on Wavelength 50% T : 515nm Tolerance : +/- 10nm Peak Transmission : ≥90% Surface Quality : 40/20
