PL2250 Series

  • producing up to 100 mJ per pulse at 1064 nm
  • up to 20 Hz repetition rate
  • 30 ps pulse duration (20 ps optional)

The PL2250 series lasers are designed to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising reliability. These lasers feature a diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) master oscillator, housed in a hermetically sealed monolithic block. By replacing the flashlamp pumped regenerative amplifier with an innovative diode-pumped regenerative amplifier, thermal lensing is minimized, allowing variable repetition rates and ensuring long-term stability with maintenance-free operation. The optimized multiple-pass power amplifier, driven by flashlamp pumping, maintains a near Gaussian beam profile and low wavefront distortion while efficiently amplifying the pulse. Pulse energy can be adjusted with precision in approximately 1% steps, while pulse-to-pulse energy stability remains below 0.8% rms at 1064 nm. With angle-tuned KD*P and KDP crystals mounted in thermostabilized ovens, the PL2250 series lasers enable second, third, and fourth harmonic generation. Harmonic separators ensure high spectral purity by directing each harmonic to separate output ports. Built-in energy monitors continuously track output pulse energy, providing real-time data displayed on a remote keypad or PC monitor. The lasers offer multiple triggering pulses for equipment synchronization, with adjustable lead or delay in 0.25 ns steps, and a pretrigger feature offering up to 1000 μs lead. Experience precise pulse energy control, exceptional stability, and a maximum repetition rate of 20 Hz, making the PL2250 series lasers ideal for demanding scientific applications. They can be conveniently operated from a master device or personal computer via USB, RS232, or LAN, or through the user-friendly remote control pad with a backlit display, ensuring ease of use even while wearing laser safety glasses. Choose the PL2250 series lasers for superior performance, reliability, and flexible control options, empowering your scientific endeavors.

PL2230 Series

  • high pulse energy using DPSS only technology
  • up to 100 Hz repetition rate
  • beam profile improvement using advanced beam shaping

Introducing the PL2230 series lasers, a groundbreaking leap in laser technology. These lasers feature a diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) master oscillator at their core, capable of generating pulse trains at an impressive repetition rate of 87 MHz, while maintaining a low single pulse energy level in the range of several nJ. To achieve higher output power, diode-pumped amplifiers are utilized, enabling these lasers to deliver exceptional pulse energies of up to 30 mJ or even 40 mJ. The PL2230 series incorporates a high-gain regenerative amplifier with an amplification factor approaching 10⁶, ensuring remarkable pulse amplification. Following the regenerative amplifier, a multipass power amplifier efficiently extracts stored energy from the Nd:YAG rod. This design optimizes energy utilization while preserving a near Gaussian beam profile and minimizing wavefront distortion. To expand the versatility of the PL2230 lasers, angle-tuned KD*P and KDP crystals, housed in thermostabilized ovens, are utilized for second, third, and fourth harmonic generation. To maintain high spectral purity, harmonic separators guide each harmonic to separate output ports. Continuous monitoring of the output pulse energy is achieved through built-in energy monitors. Users can conveniently access the energy data on a remote keypad or a PC monitor. Furthermore, the lasers provide triggering pulses for synchronization with external equipment. The user-adjustable leading edge of the triggering pulse can be set in precise steps of approximately 0.25 ns, with a maximum lead of 500 ns. Additionally, a pretrigger feature offers up to 1000 μs lead. With precise pulse energy control, exceptional short-term and long-term stability, and a repetition rate of 50 Hz, the PL2230 series lasers are an excellent choice for a wide range of demanding scientific applications. They offer versatile control options, including USB (VCP, ASCII commands), RS232 (ASCII commands), LAN (REST API), or the convenience of a remote control pad with a backlit display, ensuring easy operation even while wearing laser safety glasses.

PL2210 Series

  • high pulse energy at kHz rates
  • diode pumped solid state design
  • low maintenance costs

The PL2210 series is a family of diode-pumped, air-cooled, mode-locked Nd:YAG lasers that provide picosecond pulses at a kilohertz pulse repetition rate. With a pulse duration of <10 ps and a pulse energy of up to 20 μJ, these lasers offer excellent performance for a wide range of applications. The superior beam quality of the PL2210 series ensures precise and efficient laser output. Its short pulse duration and outstanding pulse-to-pulse stability guarantee reliable results. These lasers are well-suited for diverse tasks, including material processing, time-resolved spectroscopy, and optical parametric generator pumping. The flexibility of the PL2210 series is enhanced by optional items that extend its capabilities. The pulse picker option allows control of the pulse repetition rate, enabling operation in single-shot mode. The repetition rate and timing of pulses can be locked to an external RF source (with the -PLL option) or another ultrafast laser system (with the -FS option). The laser also provides a triggering pulse for synchronization of customer equipment, with a low jitter SYNC OUT pulse that can be adjusted in ~0.25 ns steps from a PC. Additionally, the PRETRIG feature offers up to 400 μs lead of triggering pulse for precise, low jitter trigger pulses required for streak cameras. The PL2210 series incorporates built-in harmonic generators, enabling motorized switching of wavelengths for the PL2210A model. Non-linear crystals mounted in temperature-stabilized heaters are utilized for second, third, and fourth high spectral purity harmonic generation. With its impressive specifications, versatile options, and reliable performance, the PL2210 series offers a comprehensive solution for applications that demand precise, stable, and high-quality picosecond laser pulses.
